Pilates is the art of controlled movements to recreate the look and feel of a total-body workout. It puts emphasis on the body’s alignment, breathing, coordination and balance. The Pilates programme here at Peak Fitness is suitable for all levels, as the Pilates system can be modified by your instructor from beginning to advanced techniques, and as required in terms of your specific goals or limitations.

As you become more comfortable with Pilates you can increase the intensity and watch how your strength and toning develops, safely and effectively.

Pilates teaches intense focus and control as your muscles work across the body to lift against gravity in order to develop what Pilates calls the “powerhouse”, or the inner core. Pilates aims for elegance of movement and creating flow as you glide through each movement with the correct form and precision.
