ViPR, or Viperformance, bridges the gap between movement and strength training. It combines full-body movements with ergonomically-designed, specially-formed weights to create a full-body workout where body sculpting and core conditioning is the target.The class here at Peak Fitness uses a combination of weight bars, exercise bands and dumbbells to create a non-aerobic, muscle-toning class aimed at raising your vitality, performance and reconditioning to optimum levels. The programme has traditionally been used by athletes, and now it’s available to clients here at Peak Fitness.

The programme uses heavy weights for sculpting and conditioning, so it will appeal especially to those with experience in traditional weight training. Classes are deliberately exhausting, and your instructor will push you to your limits.

Prepare to have sore muscles if your experience is limited in core-conditioning work, or if you usually do different exercises and you’re only just getting into weight training. Although it may take a few lessons to learn the correct form and get to grips with the fundamentals, this programme is open to anyone that wants to develop their coordination, firm up and strengthen.

As the Viperformance programme is about building strength, our instructors will push you to use moderately heavy weights. In practice that means you won’t do more than 15 reps per set. The classes include a warm-up and cool-down, too, and our instructors will make sure throughout that you’re constantly doing workouts correctly.
