STUDIO & GROUP CLASSES
What kind of group studio classes do you offer at Peak Fitness Gurney Plaza?
We offer a dynamic range of group exercise classes designed for all fitness levels. Specifically, our Gurney Plaza club features HYROX, high-energy Spinning (RPM) cycling sessions and strength-building Group Suspension (TRX) training classes. All are led by certified instructors who will keep you motivated and moving!
I’m new to Spinning/RPM. What should I expect and do I need special shoes?
Expect an indoor cycling workout where you ride to the rhythm of powerful music, tackling hills, sprints, and flat riding. You do not need special cycling shoes – standard athletic sneakers work perfectly fine with our pedal cages. Just bring a water bottle, a sweat towel, and be ready to sweat!
What exactly is Group Suspension training, and is it beginner-friendly?
Group Suspension training uses adjustable straps and your own body weight to deliver a full-body workout that builds strength, balance, and core stability simultaneously. It is absolutely beginner-friendly! Because you control the angle of your body, you easily control how difficult or gentle each exercise is.
What is the HYROX class, and do I need to be preparing for a race to join?
Not at all! While HYROX is a global fitness race, our 45-minute HYROX training sessions are open to everyone – whether you’re aiming for the podium or just chasing your next personal fitness peak. This class combines functional movements (like sled pushes, rowing, and wall balls) with running and interval work to build real-world strength, athletic endurance, and cardiovascular stamina. Every movement is completely scalable, allowing you to train like an athlete at your own pace!
Do I need to book the classes in advance?
Yes, because equipment is limited per session, we highly recommend booking your spot in advance to guarantee your place. You can easily book your slot through our Peak Fitness mobile app!
MEMBERSHIP & PERSONAL TRAINING
What is the minimum age to join?
Membership is open to anyone 14 years or older. Members under 16 require a legal guardian’s signature.
How can I pay for my membership?
You can pay via auto debit on your credit/debit card or prepaid term membership options are also available.
How much does personal training cost?
Personal training prices depend on the trainer and package selected. We usually recommend starting with a consultation so we can understand your goals before suggesting a package.
How long is each PT session?
Each personal training session is 60 minutes long. This gives you enough time for warm-up, focused training, and cool-down with your trainer.
Can I train if I have a medical condition?
Training suitability depends on the medical condition. We recommend informing us of your condition first so our team can advise accordingly. In some cases, medical clearance may be required before training begins to ensure your safety.
